Cupboards & Pantries
Vinyl wrapping your cupboards is a cost-effective way to renovate your kitchen. While any of our designs are suitable, your choice depends on the level of durability and the finish you desire.
- Standard d-c-fix®: The go-to for plain matte, glossy, or wood grain designs. The matte collection is thinner and recommended for completely smooth surfaces, while the wood grain features an embossed finish to hide minor bumps.
- TGA Architectural Grade (0.2mm): For a truly professional finish, TGA is the superior choice. With a 0.2mm thickness, it is better at hiding minor underlying imperfections and offers excellent workability around corners.
Benchtops & Islands
Vinyl wrapping an old benchtop is an affordable rejuvenation for any kitchen. While all our films are water and alcohol-resistant, we offer specialised levels of protection for horizontal surfaces:
- Standard Widths (d-c-fix®): A standard benchtop is usually 60cm wide, making our 67.5cm d-c-fix® rolls ideal. These can withstand temperatures up to 70°C and are best for low-to-medium use areas.
- Wide Islands & Breakfast Bars: For surfaces wider than 90cm, our 122cm wide Architectural collections (TGA®) allow for a seamless, one-sheet finish without joins.
- FPS Benchtop Series (Within TGA®): For the highest level of durability on high-traffic horizontal surfaces, look for our FPS Quartz models. These feature a specialized extra protective top layer designed specifically to withstand the heavy daily wear and tear that benchtops endure.
- Non-toxic and safe for indoor spaces: Our decorative vinyls are free from phthalates and heavy metals. Please note that while the surface is easy to clean, it is not food-safe. Always use a cutting board for meal prep.
- Safety & Gas Clearances: The TGA® (including FPS) carry a B1 fire rating (flame retardant). However, organic vinyl films are not heat-proof and cannot be installed within 200 mm of gas hob burners under AS/NZS 5601.1 regulations.
Top Tip: To prolong the life of your benchtop wrap, always use heat trivets and cutting boards. For electric or induction hobs, seal the cutout perimeter with high-temperature silicone; for gas hobs, install a non-combustible trim border (e.g., stainless steel or stone) to keep the vinyl 200 mm away from burner edges.
